SPSS for Windows Made Simple by Paul R. Kinnear,

SPSS for Windows Made Simple by Paul R. Kinnear,
This new edition incorporates recent developments in SPSS (and in Windows) by drawing upon screen images, dialog boxes and output from SPSS 8 in the Windows 95 environment. A feature of SPSS 8 is the new, powerful Viewer output manager, which enables the user to produce better tables, charts and graphs by affording greater editorial control over both content and appearance than was possible in previous versions. The first six chapters (on data handling and exploration, graph plotting and two-sample statistical tests) and the associated exercises provide an introduction to the basics of working with SPSS, while the remaining chapters cover more advanced topics such as various ANOVA designs, correlation and regression, loglinear analysis, discriminant analysis and factor analysis. In response to the comments of readers worldwide, the authors have expanded sections on the inputting and exploration of data, graphical procedures and advice on choosing appropriate statistical tests. The remaining chapters have also been revised. Where appropriate, chapters include images of dialog boxes, output listings and exercises for student courses. As the breadth of coverage is much greater than in most comparable texts, this book will prove invaluable to the experienced researcher and undergraduate alike. This book introduces the reader to the use of SPSS 8 in the Windows (especially Windows 95) environment, shows how to get the most out of the data, and gives advice on choosing a statistical test. It also offers cautions and caveats about the use and misuse of various statistics, includes screen images of menus and dialog boxes, and illustrates data exploration and statistical analyses withfully annotated SPSS 8 output. Finally, it contains an abundance of worked examples, including a course of twenty-four practical exercises and has a useful and comprehensive index.

Toledo Window Box - Toledo Window Box is the fifth album released by comedian George Carlin. It was recorded on July 20, 1974 at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, California, and released in November of that year.

Modal window - In user interface design, a modal window (often called modal dialog because the window is almost always used to display a dialog) is a child window created by a parent application, usually a dialog box, which has to be closed before the user can continue to operate the application. Modal windows are frequently an element of MDI applications.

Alert dialog box - An alert dialog is a colloquial (though commonly accepted technical) term for a particular type of dialog box that occurs in a graphical user interface. It is also known as an alert box, alert window, or alert popup.

The Window - The Window is a 1949 black-and-white suspense film based on the short story "The Boy Cried Murder" by Cornell Woolrich. The film, which was a critical success, was produced for $210,000 but earned much more making it a box office hit for RKO Pictures.
